Granny Skulls

Hello everyone! Another new skull pattern just released! I couldn’t help myself. This motif just won’t leave me alone. Whay better way to showcase it than in a granny square.

There are instructions in the pattern for 2 different squares. The larger square measure 8.5″ and the smaller square measure 6″. They were made with a worsted 4 yarn and a 5mm hook. These squares can be made smaller or larger with heavier or lighter yarn weights and corresponding hooks.

The pattern can be found here on Ravelry : https://www.ravelry.com/stores/holly-bailey-designs Or here on my Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SimplyMeHolly?ref=profile_header

Stitch Markers

I took a break from working on my new Blankets of the World Series to make some stitch markers!

These turned out great! I added holders to help keep them together when not in use. I’m hoping to get a chance to make a few more sets in the next few days. These completed sets can be found at my Etsy here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SimplyMeHolly?ref=profile_header

I mentioned my Blankets of the World Series above, there will be more on that in the coming days and weeks. Right now I’m sketching and getting ideas together. I’m excited to be working on this and hope you enjoy my journey.

Sea Turtle Blanket

So excited to finally get this pattern typed up.A few years ago I was wanting to make a baby blanket like this.I searched online, and while there were a few patterns available,I just wasn’t happy with them. When I make something I lean away from the blocky /thick look.I am more for smooth lines and details. So I sat down and created a pattern I liked. This is my result.I went with a more square look, and decided on a stitch that had more texture and looked more like waves to me.I give instructions within the pattern on how to make it larger or smaller to suit your needs.

I used a 6mm crochet hook and a worsted 4 /aran weight yarn. This can be made using other hook sizes and yarn weights you just have to adjust your stitch count accordingly to get the size you desire.

The pattern can be found here on my Ravelry: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sea-turtle-blanket-7 Or here on my Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/simplymeholly?ref=profile_header
